It is time to start planning for fall classes, as spring registration will begin in April. To prepare, you should schedule your Mandatory Freshman Advising appointment with your Honors College advisor. At this appointment, we will discuss your midterm grades, course and Honors Activity options for Fall 2017, potential summer plans, and any other advising questions you may have.
To schedule your appointment, please stop by the Honors College Reception Desk or call 312-413-2260. Mandatory Freshman Advising began the week of March 6, so please schedule your appointment now.
- If you are in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, your Honors College appointment fulfills your Mandatory Freshman Advising requirement. Meeting with your LAS advisor is optional.
- If you are in the Colleges of Applied Health Sciences, Architecture Design & the Arts, Business, Education, Engineering, or Urban Planning and Public Affairs, you are required to meet with BOTH your degree-granting college advisor AND your Honors College advisor. Please see your degree-granting college advisor before you meet with your Honors advisor.
Honors Activity Information Sessions: In the Fall, you are no longer required to take an Honors College core course, and instead will need to complete an Honors Activity. Please plan to talk to your advisor about your options during your MFA appointment.
