UIC is creating a Civic Action Plan, and we need your input.
In 2016, Chancellor Amiridis signed on to the "Thirtieth Anniversary Action Statement of Presidents and Chancellors," which challenged Campus Compact member campuses to commit to a campus Civic Action Plan that brings a renewed commitment to civic learning and democratic engagement on our campus by creating such a plan in the spring of 2017. In addition, this process will also serve as a bridge to UIC's pursuit of a Carnegie Community Engagement Classification application due in 2020.
There are two ways to provide your input into the Civic Action Plan:
Participate in one of our campus dialogues:
- Tuesday, March 7, 3-4:30 p.m., Student Center WEST, Thompson Room A
- Thursday, March 9, 10-11:30 a.m., Student Center EAST, Room 302
Provide online input through a brief online survey (less than 5 minutes): (https://uic.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5cB0pV2jYeK1pTT)
Input from students, faculty, and administrators from across campus will play an important role in making this plan as robust and actionable as possible.
