Model World Conference on Women’s and Girls’ Rights (MWC) is a collaborative learning and civic activism-based project offered by UIC’s Gender & Women’s Studies Program. During the Fall semester, Chicago Public Schools’ high school teachers and students partner with GWS students and faculty to investigate the lives and experiences of women and girls worldwide. The project culminates in a conference held at UIC where CPS students present their ideas and debate the issues women and girls face around the world. This year’s conference is on Saturday, February 18 2017, 8:30 am – 2 PM.
Volunteers are needed to make packets, run registration, and chair the sessions. If you are interested in volunteering with MWC, please email modelworldconference@gmail.com
