The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) offers a 9 month fellowship for Latinos to work with public policy on a national level in Washington DC. Awards are offered to promising Latino students from the fifty U.S. States and Puerto Rico to gain hands-on experience in public policy. The fellowship provides internships at public and private organizations in Washington DC. Fellows will gain work experience as well as leadership training, networking and community service.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Open to Latinos and Latinas. Must have graduated with a bachelor's degree within 2 years of the program start date. Preference will be given to applicants with 3.0 GPAs or higher. Family members of members of the CHCI Board of Directors or Advisory Council are not eligible. All individuals are welcome to apply. However, preference will be given to individuals with financial need. Resume/CV. Unofficial transcript. One letter of recommendation.
STIPEND
Fellows will receive a payment of $2,400 minus required deductionsincluding federal taxes, social security, and medicare upon arrival. Theremaining 8 months will be spread out throughout the 20 remaining payperiods. The bi-weekly pay will be $960.
