The Wellness Center is looking for student workers!
We're looking for two UIC students to serve as presenters for our Zoom health education workshops on topics such as stress management, healthy relationships, academic success, and more.
Description: Workshops are 30 to 50 minutes long. They are loosely scripted and require the presenter to be engaging and articulate. Must have public speaking experience. Once classes are on campus, the duties of this position also include working in the Center itself, doing general office tasks (answering phones, helping students who walk into the center, and assisting with implementing center programs). Must be willing and able to present Zoom workshops between the hours of 9:00am to 7:00pm. Work Hours: 5–10 hrs a week. Must carry no more than 12 to 14 credit hours per semester. Wage: $12.00 an hour.
Qualifications: The candidate for this position must be a registered UIC student taking 9 to 14 hours of course work. The preferred candidate will have good writing and communication skills, be reliable, responsible, detail-oriented, good work ethic, have good listening skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred majors: pre-med, pre-nursing, psychology, sociology, education.
