Meet Joan Cusack! Book Tour with Author Mark Shriver and Academy Award-Nominee Joan Cusack, Monday 12/12
An Evening with Author Mark K. Shriver and Academy Award-Nominee Joan Cusack
Academy Award-Nominee Joan Cusack will be joining New York Times best-selling author and Save the Children Action Network President Mark Shriver on a book tour for his new book: Pilgramage: My Search for the Real Pope Francis. UIC students are specifically invited to this event.
What’s the book about? “Mark K. Shriver writes that he had become “disillusioned” about the Roman Catholic Church until Pope Francis came along three years ago and breathed new life into it for him. As he followed the pope’s travels, gestures and proclamations — especially his statement “Who am I to judge?” about gays — Shriver was enchanted. “I started to emerge from my Catholic funk,” he writes.” Read more in the New York Times book review at http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/25/books/review/mark-shriver-pope-francis-pilgrimage.html?_r=0
Monday, 12/12, 6-8pm
