Little Village READS is a literacy initiative that pairs reading tutors with 1st through 3rd-grade students in the Little Village community. All of the students have been referred by their teachers for extra help outside the classroom, and they meet with tutors to work on building their reading skills. Tutors engage students in free reading, interactive games, and fun literacy activities.
Spring programming begins January 8 and runs until May 30th. Students can still start volunteering there after Jan. 8th.
Monday through Thursday, in person. We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to at least one day a week.
