Dear UIC Community,
In response to concerns expressed by UIC students regarding the presidential election, the Office of the Dean of Students will host two events next week. In partnership with the UIC Dialogue Initiative and the Counseling Center, the programs will offer students the opportunity to participate in facilitated conversations where they can share their thoughts and perspectives in a safe space.
The first event will take place on Tuesday, November 15 in the Commuter Student Resource Center in SCE and the second in the Student Residence Housing facility on the west campus Wednesday, November 16. Both events will occur from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Your participation is welcomed and we ask that you share this information with students and staff.
Please see attached flier for more details. Contact the Office of the Dean of Students with any questions.
In addition, several student organizations are hosting the following event:
Trump is President: Now what?
Tuesday, 11/15, 5:30 pm, Lecture Center C
Including responses from: Muslim Student Association, Black Student Union, Fearless Undocumented Alliance, Pride at UIC, Cornerstone UIC, International Students.
This is a safe space to listen to one another and have opportunity to share how this election affects us as a campus. See the flier below for more details.
