Greetings from Harvard Kennedy School. I am pleased to announce that the 17th annual Harvard Kennedy School Public Policy and Leadership Conference (PPLC) will take place Thursday, February 9 - Sunday, February 12, 2017. The conference aims to increase the diversity of students pursuing graduate programs in public policy and international affairs by informing students about opportunities for graduate study and careers in both domestic and international public policy. Please note only first and second year undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients are eligible to apply. (Students must also have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and, must demonstrate a commitment to public service.)
I am writing to solicit your assistance in publicizing this great opportunity. Click here to view the PPLC flyer. Please distribute it to your networks and students whom you believe would benefit from the conference.
PPLC will take place on the HKS campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. All conference expenses are covered by HKS. The conference serves as a pipeline for first- and second-year undergraduate students from historically underrepresented and underserved communities. The PPLC is designed to embolden students to pursue professional degrees to prepare themselves to become future leaders in public policy. The intensive three days of workshops, panels, and lectures is designed to provide an understanding of, and access to, a career in public service.
