Looking to get involved on campus? Student Leadership Development and Volunteer Services (SLDVS) is excited to provide two unique leadership opportunities for UIC students.
IGNITE Leadership Experience
The IGNITE Leadership Experience is a semester-long program designed to help 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students gain leadership capacities and get involved at UIC. IGNITE will help participants gain insight into the values, communication, and leadership competencies necessary for positive campus involvement. The program will help students connect with people and activities that will ignite their passion and spark a change at UIC. IGNITE participants meet Tuesdays from 4-6pm beginning September 20th. All participants are also expected to attended Catalyst on September 17 from 9am-5pm.
Want to know more? We will be holding an optional information session:
Thursday, September 8 at 3pm-4pm in Student Center East Conference Room 389
Applications are now being accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be submitted by September 8, 2016 at http://go.uic.edu/igniteleadership.
Catalyst Leadership Retreat
Catalyst is a one-day leadership retreat designed to allow participants the time and space to consider powerful questions that move them towards action. Catalyst creates a community for participants to engage in meaningful dialogue about leadership, integrity, change, and possibility. This event is entirely free with both breakfast and lunch provided. All UIC students, including graduate students, are encouraged to apply, but space is limited! The program will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 9am-5pm.
Applications are now being accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be submitted by September 10, 2016 at http://go.uic.edu/catalyst.
