Rape Victim Advocates (RVA) is looking for interns for a position beginning this summer and extending next year in their Advocacy Program.
Accepted candidates will attend summer training beginning July 25th– August 29th, every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 5:30pm – 9:30pm.
RVA is an independent, not‐for‐profit organization dedicated to the healing and empowerment of sexual assault survivors through non‐judgmental crisis intervention counseling, individual and group counseling, and medical and legal advocacy in the greater Chicago metropolitan area. RVA provides public education and institutional advocacy in order to improve the treatment of sexual assault survivors and to effect positive change in policies and public attitudes toward sexual assault.
Please find the attached job descriptions for our Legal Advocacy Internships and Volunteer Management Intern. Two placements are available for Legal Interns and one for a Volunteer Management Intern. We are looking for undergraduate students with an interest in social justice and advocacy work- all internships involve providing direct service. Resumes and cover letters may be sent to me directly.
