The Mental Health & Disability Alliance organization at UIC is currently looking for students who are passionate about mental health, raising awareness , and disability rights. We are looking to have passionate individuals join our board and are recruiting currently for the positions of Treasurer, Secretary, and Service Chair.
We are an active organization at UIC that focuses on educating about mental health within campus and breaking stigmas through having advocacy meetings, Mental Health Awareness Month, and creating a community for students. We strive to educate on mental illnesses and have various awareness weeks. We also are passionate about representing the disability community and increasing inclusivity on campus through having seminars, advocating, and partnering up with the AHS and DHD departments.
Our main goal for members is to help spread awareness and advocate for mental health and disability rights and to create an impact! We have meetings that focus on awareness, collaborations with other orgs and departments, and volunteering opportunities.
