Dr. Danielson is a chronic disease epidemiologist, trained at the University of Wisconsin, with specific expertise in type 1 diabetes and osteoporosis. Her current research focuses on Islet Cell Transplant as a treatment method for Type 1 Diabetes. In addition, she is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Transplant Surgery, and a departmental affiliate in the Division of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at UIC.
