Thinking about studying abroad in spring 2016? The Honors College has scholarships to make your dreams a reality. Two different types of scholarships are available and the deadline for application is October 24, 2015. Start by searching for study abroad programs online at http://studyabroad.uic.edu/ and attend a First Step session http://studyabroad.uic.edu/first-steps/ to find the best program for you.
The Dean’s Scholarship:
The UIC Honors College offers Dean’s Scholarships for Study Abroad which are available in awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 for students with demonstrated financial need. To be eligible to apply for the Dean’s Scholarship for Study Abroad, students must apply to a study abroad program endorsed by the UIC Campus. A cumulative UIC grade point average of 3.40 upon application for the scholarship is also required. The application deadline for Spring 2016 is October 24th, 2015 at 5PM. Flaherty Scholarship:
The Honors College offers Flaherty Scholarships for study abroad. To be eligible to apply for the Flaherty Scholarship, students must apply to a study abroad program endorsed by the UIC Campus and be a member of the Honors College. A cumulative UIC grade point average of 3.40 upon application for the Flaherty Scholarship is required. The deadline for the spring 2016 scholarship is Friday, October 24, 2015.
