Please remember the following as you begin a new semester:
All students must submit their Honors Activity Agreement Form or Honors College Capstone Agreement Form to the Honors College by 4pm on Friday, January 29, 2021. These forms are available at https://honors.uic.edu/academics/forms/. (Instructions for each Honors Activity are listed here.)
Important!
Your Honors Activity (HA) Agreement Form must be signed by your activity/capstone supervisor. If you are a first-year student, your Core instructor is your activity supervisor. All other students, your Agreement Form must also be approved by your Faculty Fellow.
Reminder: we are using a new paperless system, which means that after you submit your Agreement Forms, your supervisor and Fellow will receive an email from hcollege@uic.edu for approvals. Please check your HARS periodically throughout the semester to ensure your supervisor and Fellow have approved your HAs. If they have not, please follow up with them to ensure they do so.
For students with Faculty Fellows, please note: though we now have a paperless system for the forms, you are still expected to meet with your Fellows. Remember that they are here to mentor you and assist you throughout your Honors College experience. Please reach out to them in the first few weeks to set up a time to meet. Also, keep in mind that some of you have a new Fellow assignment for Spring 2021; you can check HARS for your current Fellow assignment.

The Honors College distributes information about various opportunities, which can serve as Honors Activities, through the Honors Announcements e-mail and by posting them on the Honors College Announcements blog: http://go.uic.edu/HonorsAnnouncements.
Look in the following categories on the right-hand side of the blog for potential Honors Activities: Community Service, HC Student Orgs and Publications, Internships, Undergraduate Research, and more.
Please note that not all opportunities posted in the Honors Announcements meet the criteria to be an Honors Activity. Be sure to review the information in the Honors College Handbook to make sure your activity meets the requirements.
Don't forget to register for Hon 222 or Hon 322 as well!
Hon 322 is for students actively working on the capstone; Hon 222 is for everyone else! You must register for one or the other by Friday, 1/22!

0 credit hours, required each term, except for summer, for all Honors College students. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grade.
