We are reaching out to all of our pre-health students (pre-med, pre-dentistry, pre-nursing, pre-PA, pre-OT, pre-PT, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, pre-vet, etc.) to become a member of our club!
The Pre-Health Mentor Network is dedicated to connecting aspiring healthcare professionals at all educational levels. You can be a mentor to high school students in the Chicagoland area; get insight from current medical students, healthcare professionals, and admissions officers on how to apply to your respective schools when they discuss their experiences/journey; or be part of our buddy system where upperclassmen mentor underclassmen. Our club is an ongoing process of finding new ways to alleviate the stress that comes with wanting to be in a pre-health career.
Our General body meeting will be next week. The poll for the availability of our members will be sent through our slack channel and our email subscription. Please join our slack channel and fill out our form listed in our linktree mentioned below so that you are able to join us. We will go over the mission of our organization as well as some goals that we have in mind. We would love to hear your perspective! In addition, you can meet our e-board at the meeting and other members who have already signed up.
Our zoom link for the meeting will be posted on our Instagram page. Follow us there! It will also be posted on slack and sent through our email (phmnorg@gmail.com). The purpose of this meeting is to have a proper introduction so everyone is aware and comfortable in knowing what they are signing up for. After this meeting, we plan on sending out our form for interested members who want to mentor high school students or be part of our buddy system. We would love to hear if there are any specific high schools you want us to reach out to. You do not need any previous leadership or mentoring experience to become a member. We provide the necessary training and resources that you will need.
