The Study Abroad Office is hosting upcoming information sessions for the new Taste of Fulbright: Global Leadership and Intercultural Development in Taiwan summer study abroad program:

This 2-week study abroad program is open to all upper-division undergraduate and graduate students. Students receive 3 credits of LAS 299. This course is designed to provide students with an education abroad experience in Taiwan and focuses on concepts of global leadership, intercultural competence development, and career readiness, using Taiwan as a case study.
Highlights of the program include:
· Leverages partnership with the Fulbright Taiwan Foundation for Scholarly Exchange to help students learn about Fulbright opportunities and how to be a competitive applicant
· Intercultural experiences include observing English Teaching Assistant classes, university visits and guest lectures, industry/company visits, and cultural activities
· Daily introductory Mandarin lessons (no prior experience required)
The program fee is one of the lowest of UIC's study abroad programs: $2,755 and students can use financial aid and apply for scholarships. We will discuss funding resources during the information session.
