Honors Tutors Fall 2021 application is now open! The deadline to submit this application for Fall 2021 is Saturday, May 15 at 11:59pm.
Burnham Hall Tutoring Center volunteers are Honors College students who enjoy helping others. They dedicate 4 hours to tutoring each week, and in Fall 2021 we anticipate that tutoring may take place both virtually and in-person.
Tutoring can be used as a qualified Honors Activity for more than one semester.
To be eligible to tutor with the Honors College, you must have completed 2 semesters at UIC at the time you begin tutoring, be in good standing in the Honors College, and have a cumulative UIC GPA of 3.4 or higher.
You must be prepared to offer tutoring in a minimum of 3 courses in which have received an A or B grade. Departments with high need for tutoring include, but are not limited to: Accounting, CS, Economics, IDS, Mathematics , Physics, and and Statistics.
This is a competitive application process, and a very brief recommendation is required. You are responsible for contacting your recommender; the deadline for their recommendation is also Saturday, May 15 at 11:59pm.
