We would like to invite everyone (especially pre-health students) interested in learning about the social determinants of health, specifically we will be studying and discussing how the urban sociology of Chicago is affecting healthcare disparities in communities. We will study and discuss articles provided by Dr. Richard Barrett, a sociology professor at UIC, in order to become more informed citizens and, in the future, medical professionals.
