SHARE Healthcare is excited to host an interactive workshop on Utilizing Mapping Resources to Understand Health Disparities with Dr. Barrett on Thursday, October 15th at 7:30pm. Using the National Cancer Institute's GIS data and mapping tools, we will learn how to create epidemiological maps, manipulate variables, and observe trends. This will be a valuable experience for anyone that is looking to learn more about studying health disparities.
Dr. Barrett is a Professor Emeritus of Sociology with research interests in understanding the social roots of health disparities, particularly within cancers. He will be facilitating this workshop using his expertise and experiences.
