Wellness through Asian American Narratives and Theatre (WAANT) Program invites UIC students, staff, and its community for its production event on Tuesday, April 25 at the UIC Richard Daley Library (Room 1-470)!
The WAANT Program and DHD 420 students will be sharing their heartfelt Asian and Asian American stories through multimedia creative expression! The event also addresses an under-examined and underfunded area: cross-cultural disability and rehabilitation research with college students of all races and ethnicities, especially Asians, whose voices have too often been silent due to cultural stigmas.
There will be interactive stations and workshops with the UIC team to work with the students on the collective historicizing and community narratives approach to mental health advocacy.
