We still have slots available for the spring 2022 Newberry Library Undergraduate Seminar! If you're a junior or senior with an interest in learning how to conduct research at one of the nation's foremost public research libraries, think about applying!
The topic for the seminar, which meets twice a week for 3 hours at the Newberry Library and carries 6 credit hours you can apply to your major or minor, is Writing Migration: Chicago, Haymarket to 1968.
The course admits 5 students from UIC, 5 from Loyola, 5 from DePaul, and 5 from Roosevelt University. It's a great way to meet students from other campuses, learn about exciting historical and literary sources, and get valuable experience conducting research and writing a major paper.
We've extended the application deadline until November 5!
Please email Ellen McClure (ellenmc@uic.edu) if you have any questions or need more information.
