Attention Honors College First, Second, and Third Years!
The Honors College is providing an opportunity for motivated emerging leaders to become HON 101 Teaching Assistants and serve as mentors in the fall of their sophomore/junior/senior years. Upon acceptance into the program, prospective TAs will register for HON 200 and attend regular class meetings during Spring 2023 to help prepare them for their role.
They will then be TAs the following fall (Fall 2023) semester. Teaching Assistants will receive 2 Honors Units for this two-semester activity (1 for successful completion of HON 200 in Spring and 1 for being a TA for HON 101 in the Fall).
TAs will be selected and contacted via email in November/December 2023. The decision is provisional and is contingent based on Fall 2022 final grades.
If you are selected, you will be asked to confirm your schedule and register for HON 200. Please be aware that if you are offered a TA role and your Spring 2023 availability changes, you may not be able to maintain your position. We will meet regularly on Wednesdays at 3:00pm during the Spring 2023 semester.
We will be selecting about 18 students to act as HON 101 TAs. The number is subject to change depending on the Honors College needs.
