The Moth is an acclaimed not-for-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. It is a celebration of both the raconteur, who breathes fire into true tales of ordinary life, and the storytelling novice, who has lived through something extraordinary and yearns to share it. At the center of each performance is, of course, the story – and The Moth’s directors work with each storyteller to find, shape and present it.
The Moth now has two seasons for which we hire interns: Fall (July-December) and Spring (January-June). Each season we seek one Development Intern, one Multimedia intern and three Production Interns: one to support the national StorySLAM program, the other two to support the New York and touring Mainstage Programs. We are looking for applicants with a strong work ethic, a desire to learn new skills in production and a passion for stories and community building through storytelling.
All internships will take place in The Moth’s New York City office and applicants must be able to commit to the full six-month session, we do not accept applications for summer-only interns. Interns can self-elect a 20 or 32 hour per week internship. The Moth provides a weekly stipend of $250 for 32 hour/week internships and $175 for 20 hour/week internships.
The deadline for all Fall (July-December) Internships is Friday, May 1st, 2015. Learn more and apply at http://themoth.org/about/get-involved.
