DAAD is currently accepting applications for a summer internship at the New York office, starting in May, ending end of August 2015.
The internship involves assisting with organizing the 15th Annual GAIN Conference of German Researchers - the largest forum for German PhD students, postdocs, and professors working in North America. A significant portion of the conference consists of a large career fair with over 60 exhibitors from all areas of the German research landscape. Duties will entail a wide spectrum of tasks from helping with administrative matters to communication with clients, as well as strategic organizational and planning activities, depending on the needs of the German Academic International Network (GAIN, www.gain-network.org).
We are looking for applicants who are
• Fluent in German in English
• Have an interest in higher education and science policy
• Like working in an office environment and are highly organized
Applicants must have a valid US work permit. We cannot sponsor a visa.
Interns will receive a stipend of $750/month.
