via UIC Disablity Cultural Center:
Date: Thurs March 31, 3:30-5:00 pm
RSVP: https://go.uic.edu/DisabilityJustice
Hosted by the UIC Disability Cultural Center & the UIC African American Cultural Center, Co-sponsored by the Chicagoland Disabled People of Color Coalition and National Black Deaf Advocates.
We are looking forward to TL's presentation and thinking together about those connections as TL explains how ableism is at the heart of every form of oppression. TL will also share about how HEARD, a cross-disability advocacy organization that works with deaf/disabled incarcerated people, grew into a firmly abolitionist organization. In hosting this event, we hope to continue UIC's ongoing conversations about intersectional organizing and dreaming radically different futures.
