Every summer, the Atkins Medicinal Plant Garden hosts an Annual Atkins Garden Walk as a one-day event that is open to the UIC community and the public.
Faculty and scientists in the Pharmacognosy Institute and the UIC College of Pharmacy organize the event, which involves a guided tour through the Atkins Medicinal Plant Garden as well as a lecture by an expert on a topic related to medicinal plants and/or plants used for human health.
Join us at 12 p.m., when renowned lichenologist Thorsten Lumbsch, PhD, will give his talk, “Lichens – evolutionary insights into colorful chemical factories.”
Access the 2022 lecture virtually through this link.
