This month as an introduction to UIC's Guide to Green Living, a resource into how students can live a more sustainable lifestyle, participants will work to create reusable disinfectant wipes that will be donated to a Community Partner to utilize. As an impactful project during COVID-19, volunteers will help to eliminate the need to buy single-use disinfectant wipes, which typically form harmful parts of trash that can hurt the environment. By using reusable disinfectant wipes, you are also providing opportunities to save money and resources. Volunteers who participate in this in-person opportunity will be gaining knowledge and skills for them to personally live an eco-friendlier life, all while aiding the environment and a local non-profit in the process. All materials will be provided on behalf of SLCE.
Monday, March 1st, 11am-1pm.
Location: Student Center East, Room 613 (750 S. Halsted St.Chicago, IL, 60607)
