Leadership Lecture Series: How to Avoid Mediocrity
Steve Giere, Investment Advisor and Equity Portfolio Manager

Steve Giere currently serves as an investment advisor and equity portfolio manager in the Chicago firm Promus Capital, LLC. Prior to becoming an investment professional, he spent 20 years in banking in the Chicago area, including as president of a suburban bank. He received a B.A. in Psychology from North Central College in Naperville, IL and an M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Steve has served also in Christian ministry work for more than 30 years in the US and in Europe, where he has taught leadership and business English. He has served in the local church in various roles including teacher, elder, chairman of the elder board. He has served in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for 15 years including nine years as teaching leader in a weekly class with 450 men meeting in Oak Brook, IL. Presently his role in BSF is area advisor, shepherding men’s classes in northern Illinois and Wisconsin.
