On Saturday, April 18th 2015, about 14,000 people will celebrate and take advantage of our 75th Annual Diabetes EXPO 2015, a FREE one-day health exposition hosted by your American Diabetes Association at McCormick Place. As you know, EXPO offers something fun and exciting for everyone. Many will come for direct access to health professionals and education. Others will enjoy interactive games, fitness activities, and live cooking shows.
Nearly 30 million Americans have diabetes, and every 17 seconds someone new is diagnosed. If present trends continue, as many as 1 in 3 American adults will have diabetes by 2050. The need for education and management is undeniable.
At your American Diabetes Association, we are committed to stopping diabetes. EXPO brings the Association’s mission to light. It is the largest health and wellness event focused on diabetes in the country.
We are currently looking for EXPO Volunteers to help make this event a huge success. We are looking for volunteers to be greeters, to help with registration, check in, to work at our various stages including our main and healthy eating stage. We are looking for volunteers who are both committed and passionate to help others in the community. If you are looking to make a difference, enjoy a free and fun educational event, gain some leadership skills, build your network or would like to be a part of our history, please join us for this event!
Please RSVP through completing above form for this event by 3/20/2015.
