Sponsors throughout the university have an exciting and diverse lineup of programs to offer during February. All events are open to the general public and the UIC community of students, faculty, and staff.

All are welcome to celebrate our theme together and get a glimpse of what Black History Month has to offer. Highlights include a basketball shoot out, NPHC Stroll Exhibition, Mojo's Pen Spoken Word, nominations for BSU Heritage Ball, and a special performance by the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team.

The African American Academic Network would like to invite you to attend our annual Hoop It Up Basketball Classic. The event is one of many activities that will take place during Black History Month in order to commemorate the achievements of African Americans. The game will provide an opportunity for UIC students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in a friendly, yet competitive game of basketball while raising camaraderie amongst our student body. The event will be filled with live entertainment, door prizes, and a chance to win additional prizes.
