The University of Illinois' federal relations team is pleased to announce that we are seeking spring interns for our Washington, DC office.
In this role, interns will be responsible for monitoring, researching, and analyzing federal issues and legislation that impact the university, actively updating our website and social media networks, and providing administrative support. Additional tasks will include drafting correspondence and attending Capitol Hill and higher education association briefings.
Applicants should possess strong written communication skills, be a team player, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Since interns will interact with university faculty and leaders, this position requires exceptional interpersonal skills. Interns will gain valuable, hands-on workplace experience and participate in unique professional development opportunities.
Our office is conveniently located near Union Station, and just a 5-10 minute walk from Congressional offices. The internship is open to both students and recent graduates.
