This HON 201 seminar provides students opportunities to implement a service-learning project to address an identified health-related need of a local community organization. Students will work in teams and apply global health concepts in local settings including:
--Lawndale Christian Health Center
--Asian Human Services Family Health Center
--Illinois Heart Rescue
--ChildLink
--Casa Juan Diego
*** This course should be very beneficial to our pre-health students.
*** Although this is the second seminar of a year-long seminar sequence (the first part was offered this Fall), students who did not take the first seminar CAN take this seminar. They will be required to attend a preparatory make-up session for the first two weeks of the semester.
This HON 201 seminar is 1 credit hour and is offered Tuesdays from 1:00 to 1:50 pm. Register with CRN 15068.
