UIC Honors College students are known on campus and around the city and county for their study of and engagement with the issues at the heart of the Cook County Board's responsibilities, Therefore, you are invited to RSVP to meet in a small group over lunch with Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. This is her fourth visit with Honors College students, and she is very pleased to have this opportunity to meet more of you this year!

Board President Preckwinkle will be speaking on the subject of the "Reform of Cook County Government" Wednesday, November 12, from 12-12:50 in Lecture Center F3 as part of the "Future of Chicago" lecture series. Afterwards, we walk to the Honors College to have lunch from 1-1:50. Attendance at the lunch will be capped at 20, so please reply right away if you are interested. Priority will be given to those who can come to both the talk and the lunch.

Ms. Preckwinkle is a passionate former educator who cares deeply about young people, justice and fair access to resources, so this is sure to be an event to remember.
Ms. Preckwinkle is known to ask students to tell her what they know about the role of the Cook County Board and County agencies, and how they are personally engaged with the issues that concern the board and county government.
