Project Sunshine is a volunteer-based global organization that organizes in-hospital programs to pediatric patients and their families. Our chapter at UIC participates in two types of service: Direct and Sending Sunshine service. Direct service consists of volunteers meeting pediatric patients and families in hopes of brightening up their days. Due to COVID-19, the Direct Service events will be conducted over Zoom until further stabilization of the virus. Sending Sunshine service events consist of UIC Project Sunshine members coming together to create crafts that will then be sent to the pediatric patients of the affiliated hospitals. In addition to providing meaningful service, Project Sunshine aims to provide the UIC student community a comforting and supporting environment as they progress through their desired curriculum.
Project Sunshine UIC is currently looking for hardworking and motivated individuals to take on the available positions of: Treasurer, Event Coordinator Chair, and Social Media/Marketing Chair. Any UIC students are welcome to apply.
