The Gallery 400 internship program welcomes students and recent graduates who wish to broaden their education and professional experience by working at one of the nation’s most vibrant university galleries, showcasing work at the leading edge of contemporary art, architecture, and design. Under the guidance of gallery staff, interns assist in routine work that ranges from special projects and research to clerical support.
Internships require a commitment of 15-20 hours per week and are typically a semester in length. A major in art history or fine art is not required. All internships are unpaid.
Internship areas include: Archive/website, Communications, Community Engagement, Curatorial, Development, Exhibition Preparation, Graphic Design, Photography, Video Archive
Application Deadlines (three yearly):
- Summer Semester (May-August): Apply by April 4
- Fall Semester (August-December): Apply by July 15
- Spring Semester (January-May): Apply by November 13
