This series of mini-lectures aims to help students understand the purposes behind various concepts within the basic sciences and how they relate to concepts within the human body and specific diseases. UIC faculty and health care practitioners will provide examples and discuss how understanding various concepts within chemistry and biology, directly relate to your ability to comprehend how the human body functions. Students planning to take the 2015 MCAT should find this series very helpful in their preparation for the types of concepts and questions asked on the new exam.
Each lecture will be unique; students are welcome to attend one or more events in the series. All lectures will be held in the UIC Daley Library, room 1-470.
