A new series by CNN, “CHICAGOLAND,” follows the lives of city leaders and citizens as Chicago looks to unite during this critical moment in the city’s history: facing change and challenges in schools, safety and social issues. Beginning on March 6th, this eight-week series will explore where politics and policy meet real people’s lives – in a city generating change and innovation in social policy, education and public safety – to meet national and local changes.
CNN invites UIC Honors College students to a special screening of CHICAGOLAND on Tuesday, March 4th at 6:00PM at the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe Street). The screening will begin at 6:00PM and conclude no later than 7:00PM.
Seating is limited, so if you are interested, RSVP here by NOON on Friday, Feb. 28: https://uofi.uic.edu/sb/sec/8536835
CHIAGOLAND is produced by Robert Redford and Laura Michalchyshyn of Sundance Productions and by award winning filmmakers Marc Levin and Mark Benjamin, the same team that created BRICK CITY.
