The Chicago-based Center for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) is seeking UIC Honors College students for internships this spring and summer. There are several projects available, which students and CHI supervisors will select together based on student interest and background as determined in interviews. - Network and interact with the world’s leading life science and healthcare executives, entrepreneurs, policy makers, and service professionals
- Gain exposure to top healthcare, life sciences, and private equity organizations from around the world
- Acquire real-world, pragmatic business experience to augment and reinforce concepts learned in the classroom
- Participate in professional development seminars designed specifically for interns
- Be assigned a high-level (Ph.D., M.D., J.D., or M.B.A .) industry leader as a personal mentor
- Receive post-internship career placement and résumé assistance
Qualifications:
- UIC Honors College students with junior or senior standing, any major
- 2+ years of work experience is preferred
- Management or non-profit experience preferred
- Self-motivator with strong initiative and work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Commitment to learning from and contributing to a small, entrepreneurial, non-profit organization
- Interest in the health care field combined with an interest in business or non-profit management
- MS Office proficiency
