Aching to study abroad this summer or fall? Listen up! As a member of the Honors College you’re encouraged to apply for the Honors College Study Abroad scholarships. The application can be found here: [https://uofi.uic.edu/fb/sec/2154002 ] Application Deadline: 5:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2014
There are also numerous other scholarships for UIC students interested in studying abroad. Scholarships can be based on merit, need, diversity, location or other factors. Keep in mind that some “regular” scholarships can actually also be applied to study abroad.

If you have a Pell Grant in your financial aid package and are planning to venture overseas on a credit-bearing program, you should definitely consider applying to the Gilman Scholarship Program. Honors College students excel at winning this award! - Crafting the Gilman Application: A Workshop Session. Weds, 2/19, from 12-1PM in UH 2550.
- If you can’t make these sessions, please come to my Gilman Advising walk-in hours, offered now through the end of February---every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in 2502 UH. If those hours don’t suit you, email me to make an appointment.
