The reality in Chicago today is that only 4% of kids growing up in low-income communities will graduate college, compared to 80% of their wealthier peers. We at Teach For America know that it doesn't have to be this way, which is why we are enlisting our nation's top collegiate leaders of all majors, backgrounds, and career interests to teach for a minimum of two years in urban and rural low-income communities in order to help give all students the educational opportunities they deserve. Join the 11,000 corps members teaching in 50 regions across the country, and the 32,000 alumni that are working from inside and outside the field of education to ensure that all children, regardless of zip code, receive an excellent education.
As a teacher with Teach For America you will receive full training and support, as well as full salary and benefits. After your two years, your destiny is up to you – stay in the classroom, take advantage of our graduate school partnerships, or connect with one of our employer partnerships (i.e. Google, Zappos, GE).
