The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago and DePaul University are proud to host a free Undergraduate Workshop focused on Humanitarian Action & Humanitarian Principles in Armed Conflict.
The workshop, which is being held at DePaul’s Loop Campus February 8th and 9th, is a unique two-day program featuring discussion and hands-on exercises to introduce individuals to the topic of International Humanitarian Law. The workshop has been designed particularly for an undergraduate audience, but would be a good introduction into the topic for anyone. IHL-related topics will include a discussion on drones, the logistics of humanitarian aid delivery, operational protections for refugee camps, and more. A flyer is here with more information: https://files.blogs.illinois.edu/files/1516/108813/3711.pdf
Seating is very limited, so participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible. To register for the event, please email Hilary.Duerksen@redcross.org.
